Logan Spiewak
Founder & CEO
Logan Spiewak is the dedicated founder of the Boots To Health Foundation, bringing a wealth of experience and a deep commitment to supporting veterans’ health and well-being. As a former infantry Marine, Logan understands the unique challenges faced by veterans and is passionate about providing them with the resources and support they need to thrive.
Prior to his work with the foundation, Logan successfully started and operated his own business, demonstrating his entrepreneurial spirit and leadership skills. His experience in business has equipped him with valuable insights into organizational management and strategic planning, which he now applies to the Boots To Health Foundation to ensure its success.

Brandon Newberry
Vice Chairman & Attorney
Brandon’s journey into law and advocacy began with his service in the United States Marine Corps, where he spent 8 years as an enlisted infantryman. Following his time in the Marines, Brandon continued his commitment to service as a Private Military Contractor while pursuing his law degree at Mitchell Hamline School of Law. In 2021, he graduated, bringing with him a wealth of experience and a deep understanding of the challenges facing Veterans.

Josh Hemus
CFO & Treasurer
Josh Hemus serves as Treasurer of the Boots to Health Foundation, bringing expertise from multiple industries in specializing in financial management, accounting, and organizational governance. In his professional role with the Pennsylvania House of Representatives, he oversees complex financial operations, ensuring accuracy, accountability, and responsible stewardship of public resources. He also serves as a Captain in the 911th Airlift Wing Aeromedical Evacuation Squadron, where he supports critical missions focused on the care and transport of service members. At Boots to Health, Josh applies this combined experience to strengthen financial transparency, support strategic growth, and maximize the impact of every dollar in service of local veterans.

Josh Plumadore
Secretary of the Board
Josh Plumadore is a Marine Corps Veteran, serving on active duty from 2012-2023. After
earning a Mechanical Engineering degree from Norwich University and completing Officer
Candidate School, he commissioned in the Marine Corps as a Second Lieutenant. As a Board Member for the Boots to Health Foundation, Josh brings a wealth of experience in
leadership, training, operations, and organizational development. Josh’s commitment to
excellence and his passion for supporting veterans’ transition to civilian life align perfectly with
the foundation’s mission.

Marc Giordano
CEO & Director of the Board
Marc is a healthcare leader with experience across managed care, including Medicaid, Medicare, and long‑term services and supports. His background is rooted in building and supporting effective health plan operations, with a focus on collaboration, financial stewardship, and regulatory responsibility. Marc has spent much of his career working to improve access and outcomes for underserved and vulnerable communities, and he values thoughtful governance, operational excellence, and partnership in advancing community health.

Patricia Lail
Administrative Assitant
Patricia Lail joined Boots to Health Foundation in 2025, bringing professional experience in program management and a background in business administration, along with lived experience as a veteran. Having faced challenges during her own transition to civilian life, she understands the importance of timely support and the impact of unnecessary barriers.
Patricia serves in a supportive role, focusing on the behind the scenes work that keeps operations running smoothly. She takes on the detailed and often tedious tasks that allow others to focus on direct service, helping move the mission forward and expand access to life changing support for veterans.

Doug Manganda
Grant writer
Douglas Mang’anda is a global health professional with over eight years of experience in public health policy, program development, and funding advocacy. His career spans multi-million dollar international health programs, digital health policy coordination, and high-impact grant writing across multiple countries in Sub-Saharan Africa and the USA – consistently producing work that mobilizes resources and influences decision-makers at the highest levels.
Driven by the belief that strategic communication is one of the most powerful tools in public health, Douglas brings that same conviction to the Boots to Health Foundation by crafting compelling funding proposals and strengthening the organizational frameworks that allow the Foundation to deliver on its mission to those who have served.
He is currently completing his Master of Public Health at Western Illinois University.

Kristina Duryea
Grant writer
Kristina brings to the table an impressive 30-year career in grant and contract administration. Her background includes roles at esteemed research universities and federal research centers, such as the Department of Energy and the National Cancer Institute. She is well-versed in the intricacies of application review and submission, finance management, and financial forecasting in the context of grant management. Leveraging these competencies, Kristina offers a thorough and expert approach to the administration and management of grants and contracts.
